It never ends
Where it all 'jazz' began...to present
Lindsay’s professional music and artistic career began in 1989 with
performances at Buxton Opera House with the National Youth Music Theatre.
Initially trained as a classical singer (ABRSM VIII Voice – Distinction), she
completed a Music Foundation course in Cambridge, followed by a Drama &
Theatre Arts hons degree at University of Birmingham (alongside singing studies
at Birmingham Conservatoire), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Musical Theatre
from Guildford School of Acting, where she was selected to join the GSA Singers
Touring Group. Professional acting credits include work with Eastern Angles
Theatre Company.
And then somewhere along the line, she honed her vocal skills into a jazz artist (studying with eminent jazz vocalists Anita Wardell and Jo Eden) and subsequent jazz bandleader with her own band.
Since 2009, Lindsay has worked across film, music, and theatre in various forms, including an extensive career in the world of voiceover.
Recently, Lindsay has produced a series of #throwback videos, featuring compilations of past jazz band work, and is currently in rehearsal for future performances.
